Lenovo Thinkpad W700ds is Perhaps First Laptop With Built-in Second Display and Color Calibrator

As reviewed by PC Magazine, the Lenovo Thinkpad W700ds is definitely “far from elegant” yet also features “some very special capabilities”. That’s because aside from a 10-inch portrait screen that slides out from this 17″ behemoth, the W700ds also has a Wacom tablet and color calibrator built-in.

You’ve also got five USB ports, FireWire, a built-in webcam, and thanks to the laptop’s size, a numeric keypad as well. But what will really make jaws drop are the 2.53Ghz Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9300 processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and a dedicated Nvidia Quadro FX 3700M—industry-grade power for professionals.

So in short, the W700ds is definitely a great choice for creative types, and you’ll really need to be creative to raise the $4,240 you’ll need to buy this baby. Also, this laptop is large and heavy enough to kill via blunt-force trauma.
