Makes a lot of sense: Tokyo-based company Infinity Storage Media will be releasing the world’s first hybrid DVD/Blu-Ray title. The special discs will obviously run on DVD and Blu-Ray players, a feat made possible thanks to a special layering technique that makes content available to both a DVD and Blu-Ray lasers. A visual aid explaining everything—as well as disc pricing info—will be available to those who continue.

As reported, the 4-disc hybrid set will cost $400; the 7-disc DVD-only version will retail for $260.
