Pure launches the Avanti Flow audio system

Once upon a time, a home audio system had to feature a record player, cassette deck and AM/FM radio. In 2008, it’s DAB, internet radio and room for your iPod - and you’ll find all three on the Avanti Flow audio system.
The Pura Avanti Flow promises idiot-proof set-up, a hefty output for your iPod via its 5.25-inch downward firing subwoofer and 2 x 3-inch mid range drive units, as well as clarity of audio via Pure’s Clearsound technology. And of course, there’s all that radio.
Take your pick from FM with RDS, DAB and internet radio, the latter using Pure’s Lounge portal for organising and browsing of the endless number stations, throwing in a library of ‘mood’ sounds too, just in case you want a backdrop of whale song or the dawn chorus in your home. And if that’s not enough, the plethora of ‘Listen again’ broadcasts and podcasts should keep you going well into 2010. If Pure had somehow managed to squeeze in a CD slot, this could be pretty much audio perfection, but sadly that’s a feature too far.
Available in piano black only, the Avanti Flow hits the shops in December for £279.99, maybe a bit less with the VAT cut.
