There are three mighty flaws in the iPhone 3G. 1) It has no Flash. 2) It has no cut-and-paste. 3) It has no MMS.

Well, one of those pressing concerns could be resolved fairly soon. Scandinavian wireless carrier TeliaSonera, which has the exclusivity rights out in the lands of Vikings, reindeer and Nokia, is planning a homegrown application that will grant multimedia messaging functionality to the handset.

Great news for Swedes and Finns, and good news for us too. Why? If TeliaSonera can make an app that brings MMS to the iPhone, and get it through Apple approval (that’s the hard bit), then there’s no reason why it couldn’t come to the UK. Well, assuming O2 wants to allow it and anyone can actually remember what an MMS is good for.

Naturally, iPhone jailbreakers have had this kind of functionality for a while as well as Flash and copy-and-paste, but nobody likes a smart arse.
