X Sting Wish makes fire extinguishers sexy

We’ve never had the misfortune of being forced to tackling a raging office fire. If we had an X Sting Wish fire extinguisher though, we’d definitely think twice about abandoning all hope and just running for our lives, and totally want to take this Flash Gordon prop for a spin.
The X Sting Wish is a concept by UK designer Adam Scott who realised that just because a device has the unglamorous task of dousing raging chip fryer infernos, doesn’t mean it can’t look like it could fend of an extra-terrestrial invasion too.
Of course, while it does ignite our childlike imaginations, its design is extremely practical - it’s immediately obvious what you’re supposed to do with it and has very sensible features too. It has a trigger and a hand grip, and when you’re stumbling through choking smog, LED lights will help illuminate your path to safety.
There are different designs for each of the three main extinguisher varieties: CO2, Powder and plain old water.
Our only disappointment is that it doesn’t come with a matching helmet.
