Sony LBT-DJ2i audio system: spin some tunes

This DJ lark gets easier by the day. Once you needed records and vinyl decks, then CD decks and latterly some MP3 mixers. Now Sony offers you iPod mixing from the bedroom with the LBT-DJ2i.
On the face of it, the LBT-DJ2i looks like any other mini audio system but look closely and you’ll see two iPod docks (other players are available and connectable) and a crossfader. making the not-so-ancient art of tune spinning accessible to all. And that’s not all, Sony has also thrown in a Beat Blend feature for added percussion, drum sounds and drum loops, as well as the option to record your ’session’ to USB.
Output is a hefty 450w from the speakers and separate twin-driver subwoofer and if you get bored of mixing, you can always tune into Pete Tong via the FM/AM tuner. No news on a price as yet, but it should be out in time for you to mix Slade and Mud at the Christmas party.
