BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 hits the market

You can’t keep RIM down right now. Just days after getting our juices flowing with the BlackBerry Storm, the smartphone maker is officially offering its latest consumer-friendly handset - the BlackBerry Pearl 8220 (or ‘Flip’ if you prefer).
OK, it’s only being offered in the US right now, but we don’t expect much of a delay for a UK launch, especially with ‘exclusive’ network T-Mobile struggling to release the Bold in useable form. If you like the original Pearl, you might like this too, with the same SureType keyboard, along with W-Fi, Bluetooth, media player, two ‘light-sensing’ displays (inside and out), up to 16GB of storage (via card) and of course, an email-friendly interface.
You can bag one in black from today in the US - red and silver to follow too, for what’s likely to be the usual ‘free on contract’ deal in the UK.
