Want to look like one of those uber-cool kids at the Genius Bar? iPhone 3G just too expensive? Better get out the penny jar then: Apple could be dropping an iPhone Nano by Christmas.

According to an industry source who spoke to the “reputable” Daily Mail, the handset could be released into the pay-as-you-go market for as little as £150, with a touch wheel on the back of the handset to dial numbers. O2 would still keep exclusive rights for it in the UK.

Since the insider chose to keep himself anonymous, this could be mere rumour. That hasn’t stopped the Daily Mail reporting it as fact however, but then we’ve never put much faith into their “news”. We hear that there’s also going to be an iPhone Shuffle, which only calls people at random from your phonebook. Expect it to retail for £99. Fact.
